Advertiser Stats – Whoops!

Hey guys, this post has nothing to do about affiliate marketing really, although I guess if I had to come up with a way to tie it in, I would say that when you launch a new site or new section to your site, you should always make sure all parts of it are working correctly before actually launching it!

As most of you know, I added advertisments about 2 months ago to the CC blog.  I’m using OIOpublisher a paid plugin for wordpress that handles everything.  One feature I really love about this plugin is that it sends weekly emails to advertisers with a link to view stats for their banners. (Impressions, Clicks, etc)

Now of course, this is a great feature for advertisers, however, it never worked!  When I installed OIOpublisher, I never installed that feature correctly thus, whenever an advertiser would get an email it said they weren’t getting any impressions or clicks!!!  Whoops!

Anyways, I just wanted to writeup a quick post letting all my advertisers in the past and currently know that I’m sorry for not catching this sooner and also a huge thank you to the advertiser that finally pointed this out to me. OIOpublisher is now functioning 100% correctly and the stats are now updating correctly, however, if any of my advertisers notice something weird happening ever again, please let me know!
