Hey guys, I have been debating this for a while and wanted to know what you guys think.

I'm thinking of changing the payment terms from monthly to permanent. Meaning that instead of having to pay every month for access, you would pay one time and have access to these forums forever. Including all the features you currently get. You would still receive 6 landing pages every month, etc.

Of course anyone that has been is currently a member of the montly payment plan would get a huge discount on the permanent plan.

My reason for this is that I think we would gain more members and more would stay which would spark more interaction and provide more useful tips for members.

I'm not sure how it would work nor am I sure what I should charge, as again the forums have to make enough to pay for the landing pages and keycompete login.

I don't care about making a profit with these forums, just as long as the are breaking even. So I have to charge enough that things continue to get paid for yet at the same that the users will feel it is worth signing up for...meaning not to exspensive.

Anyways, what do you guys think about it? Do you feel it would add more value for you guys? I know alot of you have been members since this forum has opened. Meaning you have paid well over 200 dollars for access.

What do you guys feel the price should be around...any suggestions?

Let me know what you think!!!

To both of those that asked for a price, thats why I made to post was to ask what you guys thought of a price.

Here's what I'm thinking so far.

I will still have the monthly 29.99 plan where you can pay each month 29.99 for access.

However, I will take away the 6 month discount package and 1 year discount package and instead include a new option of lets say 299.00 for permanent access to the forums. You'll never ever have to pay again.

Now of course like I said above, all current members would get quite a big discount off the 299.00 package. Haven't decided how much yet, it may go by how long you've been a member.

Give me some more opinions on what you guys think!

I like the idea of lifetime membership ... it will definately encourage more people to stay and contribute.

I quite like the way dnforum.com structures memberships (gold, platinum etc memberships that allow you different levels of access and benefits)

I have been around since the beginning. I would have been happy to pay a lifetime membership.

Well like I said I'm wanting to do it to encourage people to stay longer and contribute instead of signing up for a month and then getting everything they can and leaving.

I think they would get more out of a lifetime membership.

Also as I said, members that have been around a while would get the lifetime for very cheap, if not for free!

Any time line one when your going to make a decision on this?

My subscription is up soon so if you're to do a lifetime membership then I'm going to hold out on renewing until you have it in place.

I'm going to be incorporating this on April 1st. You'll see the new options available then in the subscription section in your user cp. I've decided on prices so I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to do the discount for current members. I'm pretty sure I have it figured out, so I'm 99.9% sure the new pricing structures will be released on April 1st.
