I will start my campaigns within the month and plan to only use YSM. I was wondering if MSN was worth a try and maybe some 2nd tier PPC providers?

Absolutely, while they may not have the insane traffic that google has, they can still send you a good amount. I personally know 2 affiliates that spend over 50k a month on adcenter!
The traffic is there, just a little harder to get sometimes, but the conversions are awesome.

How difficult would it be to eventually make 1k a day with YSM and MSN?

With both of those two together, not very hard. A couple 3 - 5 solid niches up making 200-300 dollars a day is all you need. Of course that is easier said than done, so don't expect it overnight, but really it's all about learning and testing.

I know I have to take baby steps - I just wanted to know if it was possible.
I am taking my time to put the pieces together and shooting for a positive cash flow goal (even $1) and take it from there.
Thanks again.

It's very possible, I know two different people that only use MSN and are profiting over 25k a month.

wow, motivating numbers...
I just got off the phone with a customer support person at MSN as I had a couple of questions to launch a new campaign...
Sofar didn't have much success with MSN adCenter...
after talking for a while, the person looked into my paused campaigns and told me I was doing it all wrong, that my campaigns were doomed for failure in Bing (= adCenter)... !!!
I had been using SPeedPPC sofar to create my campaigns, and also used it to export them to adCenter... 1 keyword per adgroup... and now they are saying:
I should have 1 adgroup for content network with max 3-4 keywords
and
1 adgroup for search network with only a few most relevant kws... (~15)
I told her I would not cover my market enough and it looks unsufficient to test a campaign properly. well she started explaining to me how the Bing engine works, and many other things to get her points across...
actually, it is worth another thread, so all I am going to say here is:
is MSN really different and what I have been doing for Adwords and YSM doesn't work on MSN AdCenter, or is the customer rep I talked to completely wrong? (she sounded as though she knew her thing and more like a senior, too...)
Any thoughts?
I will post another thread later on, about the details of what she recommends.
Before telling anyone on this forum to do it that way, I would want your guys input though...
so long for now!
