As I'm putting together my keywords and adgroups in YSM, I'm trying to figure out bid amounts, and what percentage of the Yahoo recommended amount I should be using. For example: Say a certain Adgroup has a recommendation from Yahoo of $1.88 for maximum traffic/clicks. What should be my target bid amount be based off of this?
I had read on this forum that the .10 cents maximum bid amounts no longer apply (too bad :)). However, I couldn't find info on what the new standard for bidding success is.
If anyone could share what works for them, I would be indebted !
Thanks!

You don't base it off of their recommendations for a couple of reasons. First, it's almost always wrong. And second you'll lose a bunch of money.
Ask your AM what the eCPC is for the offer just on search (make sure you're not getting a number that includes web traffic and email) and then your starting bid should be around 30% of that. The basic assumption there is if you can get 1/3 of the traffic you buy to the offer you should be breaking even.

Ok, that makes better sense. Thanks for the help keliix06!
