Okay, so I did a lot of learning with my first domain. I ran a couple extremely crap CTR compaigns through adwords with it.

I was getting "great" for most keywords the first couple times through.

I've learned a lot since and am trying to reapply it to a new campaign, but now all of the keywords are inactive... wants .15 or .20 to activate 90% of them, which were a min bid of .05 and .1 on the previous campaign.

Nothing really changed accept for smaller ad groups, and now my QS has tanked apparently. Is this domain tainted... or perhaps my entire account?

Is it sometimes good to just buy a new domain and start from scratch?

Sometimes when you start with low QS and CTR, Google kind of puts your next campaigns on a "lower" level. So if you did crappy with the account before, it's going to take more work than if you started with a really high CTR. If you started with a really high CTR, your QS will generally already start higher.

So, will getting a new domain help with this... or am I just fucked with adwords? I'm just not willing to pay .3 or .5 for a single referral from AdWords.

... and from what I understand, creating multiple accounts can get you banned entirely.

No just delete the adgroup and try again, make sure you are only doing 25 keywords per adgroup (75 if using all the different match options) and make sure you use the different QS score things we have posted in the QS forum.

Actually...

I started adwords all wrong. I uploaded 2k keywords per adgroup and I guess blew it for my "ringtones-for-all.info" site. I tried to make several other adgroups in different campaigns, doing no more than 25 keywords, and I still got "poor" scores for all my keywords.

Just last night, I bought a new domain (for $1.24 from godaddy), I made an exact copy of my "ringtones-for-all.info" site, and made the exact same ad group as I had been trying before, and 50% of the keywords got "greats" and the other half got "ok"s.

Clearly getting a new domain did the trick for me.

What was wrong with your domain? Because of "-for-all"?

Have you bought a new domain with more related keywords?
Something like CheapMobileRingtones.info?

My new domain is wireless-ringtones.info... I think I screwed up my last one because I started by adding 2k keywords per adgroup to google, not knowing what I was supposed to be doing.

Yes having multiple accounts will get your banned quickly. I tell from experience :(

Excellent to hear Tom, thanks for the info - I'll try it... that's exactly what I was hoping to hear.

The domain must have made their suck list... gotta love .info @ 99 cents plus ICAN. I'd be a litttle pissier had it been a .com, haha.

I Agree with Tom
