No questions or anything. Just wanted to say that watching that little circle spin is annoying the sh!t out of me. I spend more time waiting for the page to load then i do making changes.

Yeah it's an extremely slow script especially if you are trying to tweak individual groups of words.

I hate when it freezes up when you've just selected like 20 keywords you want to delete :/

Tell me about it. Tuning becomes a pain with this crap.

I was on a friends laptop the other day doing some tuning and I noticed that it loaded faster on his laptop then it did on my computer. Does processor speed make a difference?

I also notice if im running another program or clicking a link, the computer lags before it loads the page if YSM is loading at the same time. Anyone else notice this?

I noticed that if you set the display to a 10 keywords or adgroups or whatever, the pages seem to load a bit faster.

On IE7 it keeps giving me a script error too, does anyone else get this?

it's javascript, so yes, processor speed makes a difference.

for example, if you "sort by cost" (which is default), YSM just dumps down all the data, and your processor sorts it by cost.

Ways I've found to get better speed:
1) Reduce the reporting period (e.g. only yesterday's stats) which is faster download.
2) Reduce the number of records it shows (e.g. only 50) which (I believe) still downloads all the data but your PC only needs to sort the top 50.

I've asked YSM, and they say once your spend exceeds $50/day you can call and ask them to consider you for gold status (which allows you to upload excel spreadsheets). Otherwise you have to spend $500/month for 3 months in a row (the "normal" way to get promoted to gold status).

Wow is it only $500/month? I thought it was 2k.

That will be sooo much better, I can't wait to do it via spreadsheet. I guess it helps with targetting too as you can pre-write ads and make your groups smaller.

Having 2 PC's makes tuning quicker... use one whilst waiting for the other.

I would love to spend $500 a month or even $500 a day but with the crappy ctr of .20 i dont think i'll get there.

HOWEVER, I am starting to tune, delete and so on, so we'll see

$500/day?? damn!!! you would be spending 15k a month and probably making at least twice that!

I have dual monitors on my computer. One is 19" and one is 21". Makes doing everything SO MUCH FASTER. My productivity practically doubled when I got this new setup.

Yeah its to bad im not. I would be happy with a 100% ROI if im spending 15k a month.

I picked up an additional monitor a few months ago as well. It makes everything much easier and faster. I think i need a 3rd one! :D

What annoys the crap out of me is when I want to sort my keys by impressions. So I click the top and it sorts the keywords by least number of clicks!

What is that all about.

I want to see which are getting impressions.

So I have to re-sort and wait for the damn spinny circle to revolve again

Yep, whatever idiot at Yahoo programmed it to do that should be fired, who the hell sorts lowest to highest as a default?

Yeah that annoys the crap outta me too. I have to click it twice to see high to low.
