Hi Guys,

Beta testing has now finished so I couldn't keep this to myself any longer as it is about to go public from Beta tesing but you should checkout www.SpyFu.com - it is alot like a trumpeted solution called undercoverprofits.com but more sophisticated.

Check it out I think you will all see the potential ... only worry is that it elevel the playing field a little more :(

I've subscribed to spyfu. Not quite sure how to make the best of it yet, but there is plenty of information on offer.

what does these spyfu or undercoverprofit do?

Undercoverporfits (http://video.undercoverprofits.com/cgi-bin/go.cgi/28116) monitors a list Adwords ads for a list of keywords that you enter and pinpoints which are linking to an affiliate program. The program then keeps track of these over a fixed period of time with the idea being that if someone is bidding on the keyword for 30 days at this average ad position etc then it must be profitable for them - so then from within the program you can push the ad and description automatically into a campaign via the adwords API.

I have been using it primarily for Clickbank stuff but have digressed into CJ and Linkshare affiliate programs - its useful in finding me profitable campaigns :D

SpyFu is a little different in that it already has a database that has been mined using his software Web Scraper plus to make a database of Google Adwords and SE Data - the difference being that Undercoverprofits goes and queries the SE when the query is made and every day after until you tell it to stop where SpyFu database is updated monthly.

Spyfu does seem to have better stats and more data but only for popular terms at the moment so the long-tail keywords are not there yet but will hopefully be added if queried - an example of the data I extracted from Spyfu can be seen here Keyword: Cingular Ringtones (http://www.altramark.com/Cingular_Ringtones_Data.xls) - You might see some of your own LP's on this list but it is also useful to get an overview of the types of landing pages about.

As we are targetting long-tail keywords then the usefulness of Spyfu is debatable but Undercoverprofits is more useful for this data.
