Importing a new campaign at the moment and noticed that I was losing quite a few keyword phrases as duplicate content. After doing a little reading I found this:

http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/developer/docs/V2/reference/data/Keyword.php

Does this mean that we should only use plural versions of keywords? Up until now I have been adding both singular and plural versions but if the singular version goes in first it looks like that the plural version will be seen as duplicate and not added.

I also did an experiment in a new adgroup with a grouping keyword which I was having problems with ... i couldnt even get one entry with this keyword in an adgroup without it spitting back duplicate keyword error.

Is anyome elso haveing duplicate keyword problems?

It has been this way for as long as I can remember in Yahoo, so not sure what you mean...

I have only ever done one other campaign with YSM. This was my first large keyword insertion. I just suprised me and was wondering if it was normal - obviously it is :)

I cant remember reading this explicitly in your training notes/videos .. but perhaps it is there and I just skimmed over it.

Nevermind ... I have rectified the issue now in my account. Thanks

YSM is different from Google. You only need one version of the keyword for YSM and they will include both in the search. This means that there is no difference if you are looking for "rington" or "ringtones" on yahoo search. With Google you will get different results if you searching for "rington" or "ringtones".

Sorry I didn't mean it as your stupid or anything, i just wasn't sure if I was understanding what you were saying and I myself was a little confused that's all. As said above, Yahoo is alittle different when it comes to keywords than google, in google you woudl put both in, however, in Yahoo if you put in one or the other it will show for both singular and plural forms.

Dont worry ... i didnt take offence, nor did I intend my message to view that way :) I always find text (sms, forums, email) horrible for expressing ones self.
