Derek, did you get started? I’m trying to figure this affilliate marketing thing out myself. I can’t figure out if he is saying blogs aren’t the best way to do affilliate marketing or not. I use wordpress as my platform for website building for small businesses and so my landing pages are within that framework. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. I’ll keep reading through the site as well.

The dont spread yourself too thin is agreat advice. Recently google mysteriously BANNED my Adwords account. Thank god 75% of my income comes through SEO or I’d be in a very tough place right now…

Jeez I wish to god I had found this site a long time ago! – I must have spent so much damn money – or should I say wasted so much damn money over the last few years on trying to be successful in affiliate marketing and am now starting to see the error of a lot of my ways.

Just joined the forum as well!

Thanks for some great info – my biggest problem has been the building of the landing pages – and that is where I am heading next!

I don’t recommend using a blogger blog as a landing page. The reason being is that visitors trust a TLD (top level domain) alot more than another site.

I’m not saying it can’t work, I just feel that for the price you can get a domain and hosting today, there really isn’t a reason to get them. You can get a domain for under 8 bucks and hosting for less than 5 bucks a month.

I couldn’t show you one because I personally don’t have any myself and I don’t know of any off the top of my head.

Also, a blog normally isn’t used for a landing page, normally I use a blog as an addition to my sites to be able to easily add fresh and unique content to the site.

Hi,i would like to know whether a blogger blog can be used as a landing page?Also how should it look…i mean should i have only one post for the product i m promoting?Or should i have multiple posts for multiple products i m promoting with the respective hoplink to the related posts?Can u show a landing page done using blogger?Please its a request.

Hey Sean, when I say a blog I’m talking about an affiliate marketing blog. Not a blog that you would use on one of your landing sites to be able to add fresh content frequently.

However, here is an example of a landing page and a landing site.
