I Make $200,000 a Month

August 7th, 2008 Derek

Since this blog has really been in full swing (about 2 months now) the number one question I receive is, “How much do you make?“  My answer has always been unchanging and the answer I’ve always given is, “I don’t reveal how much money I actually make online.”

I’ve always felt that telling how much you made online or posting your checks was considered bragging and I personally didn’t want people to see me or my blog as a form of bragging.  However, I feel that I was wrong in my judgment against those that post their checks.

I’ve had several people tell me lately that I need to post my credentials because it allows my readers to know if they can trust the advice I give them or not.  I’ve never thought of it this way, however, after a little coaxing from someone I’ve decided to go for it.  So without further adieu…

I’m currently making approx. $200,000 dollars a month, of which $100,000 a month is profit from affiliate marketing.  I use several different networks

My Last ClickBank Check

including AzoogleAds, NeverblueAds, Hydra, etc and my income is very diverse among them.  However, the majority of my income comes from one network and that network would be ClickBank.  I currently am running 3 different offers on ClickBank that is simply doing phenomenal for me at this time.  My last check that I received, before I went to wires 5 months ago, was for the amount of approx $51,000 dollars.

Also, here is a picture of my AzoogleAds Account last month showing approx $20,000 from affiliate marketing.

Now of course there will be haters that will say I photoshopped the above images, so besides the checks and account screen shots I have something else that can easily prove I know how affiliate marketing works and that I’m the real deal.

Not only am I currently doing 200k a month with affiliate marketing, I’ve also helped several very well known “super affiliates”  get started in this business.  So of course, I’m sure I’ve got you all curious now and you’re wanting to know who they are…  Well, no worries cause below is a list of them and also a link to proof of them stating that I helped them get started.

Paul from Uberaffiliate.com (Source) – Paul is currently making over 250k a month from affiliate marketing, needless to say, his statement is a little outdated.

Yep, mystickcal got me started in affiliate marketing and taught me the basics, and now I’m making about $500/week with it.

Jonathan from JonathanVolk.com (Source) – Jonathan is currently making approx 170k a month from affiliate marketing.

Today, I want to talk about one of my mentors. His name is Derek and he runs a blog over at ClickConsultants.com.

Artarmon42 from Wandering.net (Source) – Artarmon42 is currently making over 300k a month as well.  Make sure to check out his last post on his blog showing off his two Mercedes!

I’ve tried a couple of times to break into affiliate marketing, but always lost money I stumbled onto Mystickcal’s offer to teach newbies how to actually make money in affiliate marketing, and have averaged 150+% profit every day since!

I’ve also mentored over a dozen other affiliates who are currently generating an affiliate income ranging from $3,000 – $8,000 a month.

So as you can see, I’ve helped numerous people get started in this business and I think between the check and the proof that I’ve helped several of the top affiliates today get started should put everyone’s mind to ease when trying to decide if the information on this blog is accurate or not!

NOTE: As I said, I’m currently making over a 200k a month from affiliate marketing, 100k profit a month, so I’m sure some of you are going to wonder why I only posted one check and one screenshot of another account for around 70k.  The answer to that is because I use so many different networks for the other 130k that I didn’t feel like uploading tons of checks and editing them and stuff.

UPDATE: The ClickBank check posted above isn’t actually one of my ClickBank checks.  I haven’t gotten an affiliate check since I first started affiliate marketing, I’ve always signed up for direct deposits or wires.  It was stupid to post it, but I was told I need to post a check and I didn’t have one, and I didn’t feel comfortable posting a bank statement or something like that.  I do gross approx. $200,000 a month, with approx. $100,000 a month being profit and $50,000 of that is from ClickBank.  The AzoogleAds screen is real you can search all you want, you won’t find a match.

I relied too much on the fact that I’ve helped people like Jonathan, Paul, and Artarmon get started in this business that I didn’t think it would matter to use a fake check to make the post more interesting, I figured the proof of me helping them get started would prove I know what I’m talking about and that I must do well enough in my affiliate marketing endeavors.  Apparently I was wrong and I apologize to anyone I may of offended, but you can check out the rest of my sources and see that I do know what I’m talking about.

I’ll probably be doing another post tomorrow showing more proof (different kind of proof, it’s better) that I make what I make.  So hopefully that will clear up any misunderstandings.  So why am I admitting to this?  I’m explaining this because I don’t feel it will be long till somebody figured it out anyways, so I just wanted to be honest about it upfront to stop any rumours from spreading…although I probably just started the rumours! :P

I’m always curious about these mentorship programs that people like yourself offer.

Why did you choose these guys to mentor?

How does someone like me get to be mentored by people like you guys?

I’ve been killing myself trying to make this work, reading everything I can including all the guys you mentioned and yourself, for the past 2 years and I’m not giving up, even if you don’t help me. But, I would absolutely walk up to Paris Hilton and make fun of her to her face if I could find her and if that would make you happy enough to mentor me.

What does it take?

Honest question, not being sarcastic or meaning to be rude at all, but how do you have time to mentor 2400 people on a forum, but not individuals? Plus, I would be wary to ask direct questions on that forum about my particular campaigns which is why I was asking about direct mentoring.

I might try it out. I mean, really, what’s $30 after all the money I’ve already spent. But, I just wanted to voice my concerns. You’ve been more then helpful by simply reading what you’ve posted here and I appreciate that a ton. Please don’t think I’m taking what you’ve already done for granted at all.

Hey nate, obviously on the forums you don’t get one on one attention is what I meant. I no longer offer one on one attention, but you do still get tons of great info and I do answer questions on the forums.

The forum is more for asking a question if you get stuck on something. There are tutorials and stuff to follow and then if you get stuck you ask a question. I have time to answer a question here and there, just not to provide full one on one attention guiding someone from start to finish like I use to…

I use to work with a single person for months…

Derek, I understand. You’re a busy guy I’m sure. I’m just dying for some one-on-one help because I’ve read forums and blogs for quite a while now, in fact, most of the guys you’ve taught. I get a lot out of them, along with a few forums I’m in too. But, it seems that no matter how much people learn with these methods, it’s the one-on-one coaching that makes the difference. I’m not sure I know of one person who’s making the big bucks who hasn’t been coached one-on-one.

That’s the whole reason I’m asking. I’ve noticed that trend.

I’ve been a member for about 2-3 months and the information is pretty good. I’ve been trying to get into working PPC -> CPA Networks for awhile and the approach they take in the forums seems like a great way to test. I just started with their niche workshop so I’m still working on it, but the assistance and feedback I get is golden!

I’ll have to admit though that the activity probably has died down from when the forum first started, but the advantage to that is that you’ll get more attention since there is less activity. When I ask a question or post a comment, I usually get a response from moderators like Artarmon or Keliix that have been there since the very beginning.

The forum isn’t an “end-all” solution though. You have to work at it. I did notice that some people on the forums are having a bit of trouble getting started and that’s probably where a one-on-one consultation can really help, but it’s up to you to still do the work.

There is no golden goose or magic bullet, but these forums are a great way to get started into learning about PPC and CPA Networks.

Why does the title say you make $200,000 a month when 1/2 of that is profit? Pretty funny how all of the super affiliates post their commissions and not the actual profit (which is what matters at the end of the day). Not knocking you as $100k is awesome…but there is a huge difference between making 200k and 100k.

Because that’s how much he makes :) when people say they earn $50k a year or whatever do they actually get tax after all of the tax is taken off?

Comment by Nick
2008-08-08 15:45:52

I guess…just seems gratuitous to post the commissions…like John Volk whose goal is $250,000 a month in commissions or whatever. Who cares how much you make the network? What matters is what goes into the old savings account, right? But then again, I don’t think posting earnings is an indicator of someone’s qualifications either…John Chow publishes his earnings of $30,000 a month from his blog which has absolutely no useful information, while Chad from CDF Networks lets his content speak for himself and never gloats how much money he makes.

All this is gonna do is bring a new breed of newbies to Derek’s blog and make him a target ala Paul from uberaffiliate :\

@ Nick => Imo, it’s a bit absurd to put Chad up as some sort of standard for ALL aff mktg bloggers. Chad is clearly the real deal, but people are different.

BTW, Chad once posted a screen shot of his earnings from his Azoogle account. Does that change your opinion of him? It shouldn’t because it’s normal for people to want to share their success!

What’s interesting is how disturbed you seem to be over bloggers sharing their income, yet here you are. If you don’t like it, why waste time visiting those who clearly offend you?

Comment by Nick
2008-08-09 14:08:43

If I remember correctly, the ss that Chad posted had to do with taking advantage of seasonal trends in order to make ridiculous profit…this post was made as some sort of credential about how Derek can be trusted when it comes to giving affiliate advice. Huge difference.

And I’m not offended by him posting his commissions, I just said it was kind of silly to use that as a standard for establishing yourself as someone trustworthy in the industry.

I visit this blog cause Derek’s posted some good stuff in the past. I always find it funny, though, when the fanboys jump on the bandwagon and tell people with contrasting opinions to leave and stop wasting their visiting a blog if they disagree with it.

When you noticed the title “I make $200K per month,” Since you are so bothered by that, why not simply skip this post? “hey I like CC, but I’m overly sensitive about people posting earnings, so rather than get all worked up and start whining over this, I’ll ignore this one.”

But you can’t ignore it. Instead, you chime in with a self righteous lecture.

Common sense: I like the Larry King show. But, when he’s on a topic I don’t like or have no interest in, I don’t watch! Simple as that.

I didn’t try to pass it off as mine really…I updated my post to say it was a fake before anyone even questioned it. If I was trying to pass it off, why would I admit it wasn’t actually one of my checks? Wouldn’t make sense…know what I mean?

As I said in the post, I haven’t actually received a check in ages…as soon as I hit 5k a month from affiliate marketing it was all direct deposit or wires or whatever…

The check was posted more for “entertainment” purposes. If you read the blog, you’ll quickly see that I know exactly what I’m talking about. I challenge you to implement one or two tidbits of advice I give on the blog and then come back and say I’m a fake…You wont’ be able to do it…

This kind of post is obnoxious where you say I make several 100,000 a month when 99% of affiliates in the world bust their balls trying to make ends meet.

Why not just post some lifestyle pics where you are flying 1st class, driving your amazing car, taking helicopter lessons or something instead?

Then you cut and paste somebody else’s cheque to “prove” your earnings to make it worse.

I stumbled across your blog a while back and found the previous posts a great read and now I am disappointed to read this post.

We all do dumb posts every now and then (and we quickly delete them), so hopefully this is one of them, but you don’t seem to have realized this and are defending it with more on the topic to follow.

Very dumb post….

Is the Azoogle Ads screen shot a fake too?

Reason I ask is because its very easy to fake any online payment system stats. Just save page as HTML to your hard drive then go in and edit the HTML. Open the doctored file in your browser, take a screen shot and any percentages you don’t understand simply black it out…

The sooner everyone realizes that ANY screen shot or video proof can be altered without detection the sooner everyone will stop putting so much weight into that kind of proof and save their money!

It’s a shame …LOL

Comment by Derek
2008-08-14 11:48:30

Actually I agree, which is why I posted links to other top affiliates saying that I helped them get started instead of just posting screens or videos.

Also, I believe the information I post on this blog should show that I know what I’m talking about. If you try (implement) any of the tips I suggest on this blog, you’ll quickly realize I know what I’m talking about.

I was kinda coaxed into posting an earnings post…but I ultimately had the choice, so yep, I guess maybe it was dumb on my part! :P

2008-11-20 04:33:36

Ok, I think I got the idea.

THe CB check was fake but you make 200k/month indeed?

So you invest 100k…

You said 100k is profit, right?

But how do you get the traffic to close 100k in profit?

And is this the only blog that sustain your 200k/month earnings?

2008-11-25 16:12:49

This is a funny business….its like to be accepted as a legitimate authority you have to post a screenshot of your earnings. I seriously wonder if other large income earners like doctors and lawyers compare earnings statements before giving advice to one another.

I’m not hating on anyone for posting their earnings, I just think its become cliche.
