Hey guys, I thought I would open up the comments to any questions you guys have either about affiliate marketing or about myself. I will be doing a video post replying to as many as I can. I would really like to see you guys ask some hard tough questions, as I always have the best time answering those types of questions!
I’ll be allowing questions for approx. 24-36 hours before I’ll be closing the comments so I can start working on creating the video and to also help limit the amount of questions I receive, else I’ll have to skip a lot of them.
Again, please leave me some tough questions guys! I know you have some questions that you’ll love to know the answer too, so ask away!
And…..GO!

5 Things to Test When Split Testing Ads

June 5th, 2008

Assuming someone had an affiliate offer that they wanted to promote via PPC with pages/content, would you advise them to build a single landing page or would you advise them to build a mini-site with content pages and a landing page(s)? What if the time to build the mini-site was only marginally higher than the time to build one or two landing pages? The heart of the questions is, if time is not an issue is it always better to go the mini-site route or is there some merit to using only landing pages.
Thanks! Can’t wait to see the other questions.
What would you consider are your biggest strengths that you were able to leverage in order to build a successful affiliate business?
And what other skills would you consider to be important in order to succeed in this business?
Hi Derek,
1. If I know some good converting keywords, but they are totally not related with the offer I am promoting. Only demographic are similar. How can I write a good ads to optimize ctr &conversion? If I put the keyword in my title page, I can get higher ctr, but the conversion rate will become very bad. If I write an ads related to my offer, my ctr is bad but conversion is great. For eg., I am promoting shoes with dating keywords.
2. If the merchant complaint my leads are not convert for them, what should I do to make sure this thing not happen again?
Thanks and have a nice day!
How do you do your keyword research for a CPA offer?
What tools do you use to complete your research?

Hello,
I am a newbie affiliate. I have been on Jeremy Palmer’s TheBlackInkProject for the past several weeks and am working hard to come up to speed. I have a couple of questions.
1. Where can I find some examples of great affiliate websites?
2. What kind of sites are getting the most traction these days? Review? Coupon? BlogSpots? Social Networking? Or, deep sites clearly focused on a specific niche? This is my most important question.
3. How are Merchants about signing newbies? What do they look for?
I hope I am challenging you per your request. Thanks for taking the time!
When selecting an advertiser (or product) to market and you’re looking into the product what exactly are you looking for on advertisers side of things?
There are tons of Clickbank products that have the one page “infomercial” type of ads. Would you consider an offer like this or would you continue to search for a more professional looking product? Sales page? etc…?
I’m sure you’ve heard this before, I’ve read about this question but I have never been fully satisfied with the generic answer. My question is just how to do you research an offer and what criteria do you use to determine whether it is a good offer?
What are you thoughts about UberCamp since Paul was a partners with you on the forum, and now he has copied similar concept and gone on his own?
Slightly off topic but may help affiliates out there in the future, how do you think I could improve my service (lpcreations.com) and see an improvement in the service on a whole.
Is it lacking anything, etc?
How do you automate split testing for PPC ads? With hundreds (if not thousands) of ads across many ad groups in different PPC networks, it seems so tedious and difficult to do. Any automation tools/program/methodologies that you can share?
What if you set up a case study and show us how you start a campaign from scratch, and make it profitable and then scale it to make it even more profitable? You can probably create a series of videos that demonstrate how you do everything from $0 to profitable. Or, may be you can do it as blog posts, or may be, PDF reports. Obviously there are trade secrets that you probably don’t want to share, which is totally understandable, but at least do share the necessary stuff that will get the newbies going
.
I have several web sites but are concerned that they may not be getting the traffic need to succeed. I’m using many progams to optimize my sites but I think maybe somethings missing. Do you have any insight?
