So, I Just Updated to Firefox 3.5

July 2nd, 2009 Derek

167662-firefox-35_originalI don’t normally do many tech posts on here, or posts that have to do with software that isn’t related to affiliate marketing, however, I just downloaded Firefox 3.5 today and I felt that I must let everyone know that hasn’t updated to it yet that it’s freakin awesome!

Seriously, one of the big things they claimed with this version was that it loaded webpages a lot faster…  Now of course, they say that all the time whenever any company releases an update to their browser, but the bottom line is that Mozilla isn’t lying!

I’ve been using this version of Firefox for a couple hours now and I can honestly say that I’ve never seen webpages load as fast on my computer as they are now.  I’ve definitely noticed a huge improvement with the new version.  Huge!

Anyways, I was just extremely impressed with Mozilla that I couldn’t help but post that everyone using Firefox needs to update like….yesterday!  Seriously!  If you’re not using Firefox, then well…GO GET IT!

I update as soon as they are available. Pretty much goes without a hitch.

Yeah I just updated yesterday and it is nice and quick. The last version was sometimes a memory hog but this one hasn’t given me any problems yet.

After using Chrome, I seldomly use FireFox unless I need a plugin from it.

Okay… I give in! I am going to update! I may lose out on some of my favorite Addons, but I just love trying out new Versions of software’s, and plus… like you said about the speeds… and if others see their main website the speed graphs in comparisons to previous versions has sold me to switch to 3.5! Okay well… the download is done, so I will install it after I submit this comment, so if you track what Firefox Version I am using, you will see the update, hehe. What fun!

Well.. just thought it would be appropriate to give an update lol, the upgrade was successful, and I tell you what… I do notice a speed difference in the way the pages load! Although 3 of my Addons weren’t able to update, but that’s okay they weren’t even the main one I use, so no loss, but all gain with the New Firefox version, I am loving it! Oh and I see they added a nice + at the top for the tabs =D

Im’s still using Firefox 2 and I’m pretty satisfied with it. I tried FF 3 few times but didn’t noticed any visible change of webpages load speed. Maybe I’ll switch brownser to new within few months but I can’t see here any revelation.

I was decently surprised with the 3.5 Update, usually the last time I updated to a major upgrade of Firefox, alot of my plugins did no t work, but this time around, all of my plugins were still compatible with Firefox 3.5, so this really made me happy =D Now I am more confident to say yes to a new Firefox Update!

Till then,

Jean
