Hi Derek,

Have a quick newbie question, Loved the video by the way.

How do you put individual keyword subid's into direct linking adwords campaigns to track conversions if an adgroup/ad has more than one keyword in it?

I don't get where the "keyword custom url" option is in my adwords account or in adwords editor?

I get how to put individual subid's for individual ads or adgroups, but not for individual keywords if the ad group has more than one keyword in it?

This has been frustrating me for a couple of weeks now and i can't seem to find the answer other than by creating a unique ad for every individual keyword which is extremely time consuming.

Would really appreciate it if you can help

I'd love to see a post where you elaborate on how to create a direct linking campaign.

Are there any type of keywords, ad copy, ... that have proven to convert better with direct linking?

In other words, do the same things convert for direct linking as for landing pages?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, I could not agree more with you, keywords IS the lifeblood of affiliate marketer, especially us, PPCer :D

I used to track keywords by create a 'my own style' keywords tracking code using Excel, but now, I automate all with my own software.

I couldnt hear the sound on this video at all, though your other videos were ok. Hmmm...weird. Tracking202 can track direct linking for just about everything that supports Subid tracking. For all the naysayers that say direct linking is dead...not according to my recent tests. Google still rewarded me with a nice QS and min bid on one particular offer. Alot of it has to do with the domain name you use and the adcopy to keyword relevance.

Actually, I personally use Google Conversion Tracking, however, most people don't like using it and I've had several people ask me to show them how to track while direct linking without using Google Conversion Tracking. There are always numerous ways to skin a cat and I just try to show all the different ways then let people decide for themselves...

If you do a search on this blog, you'll actually see that I have posted about how to use Google Conversion Tracking as well.
